Karen and Karen's Thursday's classes, come and join us

Well Karen Lister (http://moggymarx.wordpress.com/) and I have had a great time with our Thursday night classes and have only got three more this year and then we look forward to some exciting new things in the New Year.
If you would like to know more then drop me a line at amkshobbs@gmail.com and I will email you our newsletter that will let you know what classes we have on for the rest of the year.
Below is a sneak peak of one of the things we will be making this week, it isn't quite finished yet as I am waiting patiently for my Stampin Up order which has sliver glimmer paper in it, so  the snowflake doesn't look quite straight as I haven't adhered it down yet.  Fingers crossed for an order tomorrow :-)

Crafters Anonymous

Last night I was lucky enough to have some free time to join the online class at Crafters Anonymous.  About a week out we are given a list of supplies that we will need but no idea of what we will actually be making, on the Monday night we then follow along online and also chat online with people, its lots of fun.  Last nights class was run by Dee Sturgeon and we made a lovely gift bag that I immediately thought would be a great thing for teachers gifts as Christmas filled with chocolates etc.  My children both have two teachers so that will be four gift bags for me to make up :-)

I need to add a tag etc but this is the basic bag made from one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP.
Catch you later in the week

My order has arrived!!!

Yeah my Stampin Up Order has arrived, there seems to have been a bit of a hold up for some reason all over the country but at last my order is here!!!
And it includes my Simply Scored and my Big Shot, double yeah!! I am very excited about these two especially after preparing for a class yesterday with lots of cutting and scoring.  My cuttlebug has served me well but it was time for a trade up to a Big Shot, I think I might have to get a can of coke today just so I can have a go at cutting the can through the Big Shot.
Well must dash as I am busy checking my order off and my kids are building robots with the boxes!!!

Kids Classes. Parties and Invites

Good morning everyone
Well we have had an early start to the day in our house so I can get some things done before my Kids Craft Class this afternoon, I will post some photos later today of the kids at work.  I just wanted to take the chance though to remind everyone that I do kids classes in all the school holidays, I am happy to do Kids Birthday Parties anytime and I can also make invitations for birthday parties.  The birthday parties and invitations can all be designed to fit within your budget so just drop me a line and we can work something out. (amkshobbs@gmail.com)
See you later today

Ooops confession time!

Sorry I didn't get back with a Christmas card, school holidays have got in the way.  I have however been busy cutting and scoring for my kids class tomorrow.  They are making a mini pizza box with 4 small gift cards in, I have stamped some samples using the 2011-2013 In Colours.  I have learnt that the girls prefer to have a free licence to stamp what they want rather than just copying mine so I am giving them 4 stamp sets and the 2011-2013 In Colour Stamp Pads.  They are using a retired Xmas set that I have as wooden stamp sets tend to be easier with kids so there is a small Xmas card in there!!
Hope you are all having a great week, catch you after my class tomorrow when I need to start work on a birthday party I am running in just over a week.

Christmas is coming!!

Well there are only 77 days until Christmas so I had better get started on my Christmas Cards, today I will make my first one and post it here later today I promise!!! I have also got a kids class to cut and score for, a birthday party to prepare for and also Mosgiel Playcentre have asked Karen and I if we want to be part of their Mosgiel Hottest Home Baker Day which includes craft stalls.  So busy, busy, busy!!!! and this term is only 9 weeks long so the kids will be back on holiday again before we know it!  Off ice-skating tomorrow with the kids and then off to see Hotel Transylvania on Friday :-)  My bribery for them having to come to work with me in the mornings!

Children's Classes

Hi all
Hope you weren't all too bored with Bathurst on today, my hubby was at golf today and recorded it so I only had to watch about 30minutes of it as he watched the start and then fast forwarded to the crashes.  Anyway a big congratulations to my hubby as he made the Otago Masters Golf Team today to play at the Interprovincial in Napier in November (on my birthday I might add!!)
So today I have been busy googling ideas for my kids class on Thursday and think I have it sorted, they will be making a Scrapbook page (thanks to my lovely upline Karen Lister for the kits), a set of mini cards with a pizza box and maybe some Xmas gift tags or bookmarks, not sure yet.  Anyway I have a couple of spaces left so if you have someone that would like to come along, drop me a line at amkshobbs@gmail.com.  The class is $12.00 and is 2pm-4pm on Thursday 11th October.
Look forward to hearing from you
Karen

Birthday Invites

Well it is wet and windy here in Dunedin today so I have spent the afternoon finishing some birthday invites for a friends daughters 5th birthday - 20 of them!  I have used Perfect Plum cardstock, some retired DSP, the Top Note Die and my ever popular Butterfly Emboslits Folder.
Nearly finished them time to put my feet up, it has been a busy few weeks!!
Happy crafting
Karen

Thursday Night Classes

My upline Karen Lister and I are running craft classes on the first and third Thursdays of the month.  The projects tonight are using the new colour core card, which I love, the owl punch which was a huge hit at the Dunedin Women's Lifestyle Expo and then two simple Xmas tags to get your Christmas preparations started.  If you are keen on coming to the classes, drop me a line at amkshobbs@gmail.com.  The next class on Thursday 18th October is making the Xmas ornament that is on the front cover of the holiday catalogue.  What you don't have the catalogue? Then drop me a line and I will get our Annual Catalogue to you for $10.00 and it comes with the Holiday Catalogue for free.
Happy crafting, Karen
